The Gillette Camels boys basketball team lost to the Evanston Red Devils Saturday 72-63 at the Flaming Gorge Classic Basketball Tournament. Gillette won two of three games in Green River.The Camels beat Green River and Rock Springs before the loss to Evanston. Crime Stoppers needs your help in solving a theft that occurred on the 2300 block of Summerfield Lane sometime between 12-12-14 and 12-15-14. During this time frame unknown suspect(s) forced entry into a locked construction trailer. Property taken during the theft includes: 1 red Honda Generator, 1 Electric rebar cutter, 1 Rigid impact drill and other miscellaneous hand tools.

City of Gillette Offices will close* at noon on Wednesday, December 24th and will re-open on Friday, December 26th in observance of the Christmas Holiday.

Christmas Day
There will be no trash and recycling pick up on Christmas Day (Thursday, December 25th).  The City's Solid Waste Division will pick up Thursday and Friday's trash and recycling on Friday, December 26th.

Sheridan On Skates (SOS), a non-profit who manages the Sheridan Community Ice Skating Rink is hosting the 2nd annual Wyoming Winter Classic Hockey Game New Year's Day. The game kicks off at 4 pm at the rink. Two teams will take to the ice, the Yellows

The Sheridan Police Department was notified of and responded to multiple hit and run reports this weekend, starting from Friday and ending Sunday. The first incident occurred on Illinois Street Friday morning, at about 8:22 AM. A vehicle struck an electrical box and dumpster. The driver was later contacted and cited for Hit and Run unattended.

While it wasn't quite on the level of previous years, Toys for Tots in Sheridan was by all means a success again this year. A back room at 151 West Brundage was three tables deep with an estimated 1,100 toys. A dozen or more bikes rounded out the gifts this year. Music emanated through the building, coming from what was once the Living Room Coffee House, attached to the facility. This Saturday morning seemed like an average morning for one Sheridan resident, that is until she got off of work and went home.
