Enzi nominates Gillette students to U.S. service academies

  enzi-a Washington, D.C. – Gillette students William Eichenberg and Erin Thamm made Wyoming U.S. Senator Mike Enzi’s list of nominees to the United States service academies for 2013. Eichenberg received a nomination to the Air Force Academy. Thamm received a nomination to the Naval Academy. 

     

   Nominees are selected with the aid of an academy selection committee put together by Sen. Enzi. Receiving a nomination is the first step in the process of seeking an appointment to an academy. Enzi announced his choices for the U.S. Air Force Academy, the Military Academy, and the Naval Academy this week.  

 

 

            “These academies provide great opportunities to young people, including a quality education,” said Enzi. “Wyoming students continue to demonstrate their patriotism every year by applying for our service academies. Their willingness to serve benefits the entire nation.”

 

   Once the nomination process is complete, each academy will make a final selection.  Nominees may also be considered for admission under other categories.
