NEWARA, short for North East Wyoming Amateur Radio Association, will be conducting a testing session beginning at 9:30 Saturday morning (January 5th) at the Alan Mickelson Fire Training Center in Gillette for anyone wishing to become licensed or are seeking to move up a class.
The FCC's testing fee is $15.00 and you must have a picture ID with you. If you are testing for a license upgrade, you need to bring a copy of your current license.
Following the testing session, at 11:00 a.m., NEWARA will be holding it's annual meeting which will include election of members to the board of directors.
Any licensed amateur radio operators or those interested in learning how to become licensed are welcome to attend.
NEWARA's membership comes from within the three counties of Campbell, Crook and Weston in North East Wyoming.
