CHEYENNE - The Wyoming Game and Fish Department will host a statewide public meeting to discuss its current proposals to provide additional funding for the department. The meeting will take place Oct. 11 at 7 p.m. and will originate from Cheyenne. Those interested in participating in this meeting can participate in person at the Cheyenne WGFD Headquarters or join by video conference at any WGFD office. The meeting will also be webcast. Those who wish to participate via a personal computer connected to the internet at their home or other outlet such as their local library can do so at: http://bit.ly/GameFish.
Laramie – An early morning crash has claimed at least one life this Saturday morning. The crash occurred near the Vedauwoo Interchange which is approximately 15 miles east of Laramie around 2:30 a.m.
At this time Troopers believe 7 vehicles were involved in the crash with several tractor trailer combinations, two of which have been totally consumed by fire. Weather conditions at the time of the crash were dense fog and black ice on the roadway. Speeds had been reduced to 45 mph by WYDOT’s Traffic Management Center.
Two victims were transported by ambulance to Ivinson Memorial Hospital in Laramie and two victims have been transported by ambulance to Cheyenne Regional Medical Center in Cheyenne. One of the victims transported to Ivinson has been transferred to a hospital in Colorado.
