In the first 25 games of the season the Gillette Camels had lost just twice and had never lost to a team from WY, but then they dropped back-to-back games at the 4A State Tournament after falling to Kelley Walsh 49-41 in the 3rd place game at Casper College.
This was not the game either of these two teams wanted to be playing in and it was the Trojans that got to close out their season with a win. One night after scoring a career high 33 points, Cody Kelley led the Camels with 13 points while junior Bryce Lyman showed what Gillette can look forward to next season as he was 2nd on the team with 11 points.
The Trojans Kooper Adams led all scorers with 23 points on 8 of 12 shooting.
