Pronghorn XC Opens Season in Denver

The Gillette College cross country team opened its race schedule, yesterday, at the Denver Half Marathon & 10K. The men's team dominated both events putting 3 runners in the top 8 of the 10K, including the overall winner and second place.
Bryce Parmely won the 10K while Cody Jolovich was second.
In the half marathon, seven Pronghorn runners finished in the top 10. Matt Jackson and Alejandro Garcia tied for the overall win, Mike Nelson was third, Nigel Christianson was sixth, Kyle Dietsche was seventh, Josh Drake was eighth, and Zach Power was tenth.
For the Pronghorn women, Ali Piaia and Emily Faber placed in the top 3 in their age group for the 10k. Reanna Jereb was the second overall woman in the half marathon. Myrissa Clark and Makala Diggs also placed in the top 3 in their age groups for the half marathon.
The Pronghorns compete next at Chadron State on Saturday in a small cross country meet against the Eagles and South Dakota Mines.
