August 19, 2014 – At approximately 8:50 a.m. this morning SourceGas reported that a third party contractor working on a non-SourceGas project struck a company’s 6-inch diameter pipeline in downtown Gillette, Wyo., resulting in a release of natural gas.  The natural gas leak has been stopped and permanent repairs are underway. August 19, 2014 – At approximately 8:50 a.m. MST today SourceGas reported that a third party contractor working on a non-SourceGas project struck a company’s 4-inch diameter pipeline in downtown Gillette, Wyo., resulting in a release of natural gas.  No fire or injuries resulted from the incident and SourceGas field personnel are on the scene with local emergency responders

The lastest information we have from Campbell County Officials is that the Campbell County Courthouse will not reopen today. The Campbell County Court House was evacuated about 8:50 am as a precautionary measure. Fire Chief Don Huber said a 4 inch steel gas line was hit during the Gillette Avenue Reconstruction Project. Huber described the evacuation as precautionary only.

Still no sign of a Yellowstone park employee who went missing Monday after illegally floating the Yellowstone River. 22 year old Darian Latty of Georgia and two peers dropped their inner tubes in the Lamar River and floated to the confluence with the Yellowstone.
