The Gillette College Pronghorn women had a strong performance against the Chadron State Lady Eagles on Sunday at the South Campus.
The two teams played three, 20-minute periods with a running clock for the first 18 minutes of each period. They played the last two minutes of each period under normal clock rules.
The Pronghorns were able to win the first two sessions and came from behind to tie the third one.
Head Coach Will Rider was pleased with the way his team played.
“Just playing them straight up man-to-man, I thought we did a pretty good job. We didn't throw any zone press at them or didn't do any of our matchup zone.”
Coach Rider said they have been working on their zone defense during practices and will be throwing that in this weekend when they travel to Billings to take on Rocky Mountain College in an exhibition game on Sunday.
One Pronghorn, Chelsie Pitt, injured her left leg in the exhibition and will be looked at later this week.
