Pronghorn women go 3-0 on weekend, men split

The Gillette College Pronghorn basketball teams had a good weekend of action on the road in Colorado Springs, as the women went 3-0 and the men went 1-1. The women are now 5-0 on the season. The men are 2-2.

     The ladies took care of Air Force Prep on Thursday with a 70-46 win. The Pronghorns then came from behind to get a 63-62 victory over Arizona Western College in Colorado Springs. The Pronghorns were down 30-24 at halftime in that game. Saturday, Gillette College took on Colorado Christian’s junior varsity squad and came away with an 81-41 triumph.

     The men defeated the junior varsity team of Colorado Christian Friday, 93-53, with six Pronghorns scoring in double figures. Saturday night, the Pronghorns lost to Air Force Prep, 75-70.

     Both teams will play their next games at the South Campus on Thursday against Colorado Northwestern Community College. The women take the court at 5:30 pm with the men following at 7:30 pm. Both games can be heard on 93.3 The Legend and online at https://www.network1sports.com/station/kled.
