Pronghorn men come up short against Sheridan College

There were 19 lead changes in a game that Gillette College (7-6) stayed with Sheridan College (13-3) for the first three quarters of, but the Generals were just too much, as the Pronghorns fell on the road Friday night, 72-62, at the Golden Dome.

Sheridan College had an early start in the game, but the Pronghorns were able to catch up to the Generals and took their first lead at 19-18 and had the lead, 27-26, at halftime.

Gillette College made their first twelve free throws in the game and finished with a 78.3 percent success rate from the line in the game. However, field goals are a part of the game too. That is what did them in late in the second half. The Pronghorns made only 10 of their 35 two and three-pointers in the second stanza. The Generals made 19 of their 38 attempts from the floor and helped them come away with the win.

Ron Mvouika of the Generals had the game-high of 18 points and finished with 15 rebounds. Dwight Anderson led the Pronghorns with 15 points.

The Pronghorns will wrap up their 2012 portion of the season with two games against the ABCD Academy at the South Campus. The first game will be on Thursday, the second on Friday and both will start at 7:30pm.
