Pronghorn women win close one, will play Miles next

Scottsbluff, Neb.--The Gillette College Pronghorn women, the third seed from the North Subregion, had to earn a win against the Northeastern Junior College (NJC) Plainswomen-the sixth seed from the South Subregion-in the first round of the Region IX tournament. It was edge-of-the-seat contest towards the end, but the Pronghorns prevailed with a 66-60 win in Scottsbluff, Neb. on Monday afternoon. Pronghorn men's season comes to an end


Casper, Wyo.--For the first time in team history, the Gillette College Pronghorns men's team played in a second round game of the Region IX tournament on Monday afternoon. It was also the first time they played North Platte Community College out of North Platte, Neb. The Knights were able to play keep away with the lead, as the  Pronghorns season came to an end in the 81-67 loss.

Pronghorn men advance in Region IX tournament

Casper, Wyo,--By game time of the #4 Gillette College vs. #5 Eastern Wyoming College contest on Sunday afternoon, the South Subregion teams of the Region IX had won four out of the five games. Only Casper College, the host of the tournament, was a winner of the North. #2 Sheridan College lost to #7 Northeastern Junior College, 97-81, on Saturday afternoon. Pronghorn women avenge loss to Northwest College

Gillette, Wyo.--On the 23rd of January, the Pronghorn women (25-5, 12-4) lost to the Northwest College Lady Trappers (15-15, 8-8), 96-79, in Powell, Wyo. On Saturday night, Keke Wright and Alicia Carline finished with double doubles and Kiela Garner and Matty Jolovich fished with double digits, as Gillette College defeated the Lady Trappers, 65-52.
