You can be a superhero for local children who need meals. The Backpack Hero 5K Run/Walk will be Saturday, October 11, 2014.  Participants can wear their favorite superhero gear. Campbell County School District invites the public to give input via an online survey on the 2015-2016 school calendar and the 2016-2017 school calendar. The information the public provides will be considered by the district calendar committee in formulating a final recommendation to the Board of Trustees. The committee currently has for consideration three draft calendars for each school year

The City of Gillette's Customer Service Division announces Low Income Energy Assistance Program (LIEAP) applications are now available at the front counter of Customer Service in City Hall (201 E. 5th Street).

Monday afternoon at the Sheridan County Circuit Court, Magistrate Carol Doughty sitting in for Shelly Cundiff presided over the arraignment of Micah Lacunza, who was involved in a high speed chase and theft of two vehicles Friday. Lacunza's bond was set at $50,000 as he faces upwards of three felonies, and at least three misdemeanors for his actions.

Two owners of stolen vehicles yesterday have come forward in a case you first saw on Big Horn Mountain Radio Network last night. A short recap of that story, Sheriff's deputies were investigating a wrecked vehicle (pictured) near the Acme exit off Interstate 90, when a vehicle matching the description of another stolen vehicle was spotted. A pursuit resulted and reached high speeds at times. The pursuit took both the Highway Patrol and Sheriff's Deputies through Ranchester, ending up on Soldier Creek Road.

The Sheridan County Sheriff's Office, along with troopers from the Wyoming Highway Patrol and Sheridan Police Department were all involved in an afternoon high speed chase that was initiated near Acme Friday afternoon. Sergeant Allen Thompson with the Sheridan County Sheriff's Office says they received a report of a stolen vehicle in the Acme area earlier in the day, which seemed to be related to the vehicle accident they were investigating at the time. The chase was initiated some time between 4:30 and 5 pm...
