The Wyoming Cowboy football team concluded its season in disappointing fashion, Saturday, as the Cowboys missed out on bowl eligibility with a 35-7 road loss to Utah State.
The Cowboys gained just 190 yards offensively, and coughed up two turnovers, as they fell to 5-7; their second-straight losing season.
Yesterday afternoon, Wyoming athletic director Tom Burman announced that he has fired Cowboy head coach Dave Christensen.
Christensen signed a five-year contract extension worth $1.2 million a year after the 2011 season. He has three years left on that contract.
He finished with a record of 27-35.
