Wyoming Cowboy quarterback Brett Smith has decided to forego his final year of college eligibility and enter the NFL Draft.
Smith informed Wyoming athletic director Tom Burman of his decision on Friday afternoon.
The junior from West Salem, Oregon completed 62-percent of his passes for 8,834 yards, during his three-year career with the Cowboys. He threw 76 touchdown passes, and ran for 20 more. He gained 1,531 yards on the ground.
His record as a starter was 17-20, and 0-1 in bowl games. He is Wyoming’s all-time leader in total offense.
The 6’3, 206 pounder says he has no idea as to which round he’ll be selected in the 2014 Draft, which will be held May 8th, 9th and 10th. He has been projected to go somewhere between the second to the fourth round.
