(Photo provided by WYDOT) An emergency rock scaling project in May of 2016 has focused on removal of large rocks from a hillside above U.S. 20/Wyoming 789, and it is mostly complete at Big Windy Curve inside Wind River Canyon in northwest Wyoming.
The rock scaling project is located about 10 miles south of Thermopolis at milepost 121.9. The work

Prior to the annual spring opening, snow is being cleared from the roadway, and roadway repairs are being completed.
A $3.84 million highway improvement project is scheduled to begin in May of 2016 north of Cody on Wyoming 296 (Chief Joseph Scenic Highway).
The project includes $1.7 million in repairs to a slide in Paint Creek Canyon that began moving in May of 2015, repairs to the Pat O'Hara Creek bridge, and a 13.32-mile pavement rehabilitation project of Chief Joseph Scenic Highway
