Former Gillette Mayor Tom Murphy was arrested recently in Crook County, Wyoming. The arrest occurred on July 18th after an incident at Keyhole Reservoir. Documents obtained by basinsradio.com from the Circuit Court of Crook County show Murphy was initially contacted by a Wyoming Game and Fish Officer for allegedly operating a watercraft at night without lights. A 30 acre Bighorn Mountain wildfire was contained Tuesday. Nearly 100 personnel battled the lightning-caused Roane Creek Fire. The fire burned 2.5 miles south of Highway 14A in the Pete's Hole area.

Powder River Energy Corporation of Northeastern Wyoming is working with Cheyenne-based data center Green House Data in the purchase of Wyoming renewable energy credits, or WyoRECs. WyoRECs are credits for businesses who take advantage of green power, whether solar, wind, or otherwise. They're also compatible with the EPA's Green Power program, and Green House Data is pleased to be working on such a project.
