Press Release – Hunters who had mountain lion licenses in the fall of 2014 and spring of 2015 are now being surveyed as the Wyoming Game and Fish Department is seeking more information on mountain lion hunter success rates and the efforts being put into lion hunting.

Springfest is the largest fundraiser for St. John Paul II Catholic School that will be held on Friday, May 1st and Saturday, May 2nd. The theme for this years Springfest is “ A Night at the Derby”.

April 26th – At 9:40 PM, the Gillette Police Department responded to the 900 block of Country Club Road, after a report that someone had been shot.

The Wyoming Game and Fish says good water levels and below average snowpack may actually bring very good fishing conditions this year, including here in Northeastern Wyoming. The agency also says that fish-able conditions should come weeks earlier than past years. While higher elevation lakes and streams may not be decent until later in the summer, lower elevation lakes and rivers will continue to be productive. Read more

A preliminary hearing scheduled in County Circuit Court in Worland on Thursday morning, April 23 for 31-year Anthony Haire of Washakie County has been bumped. County Attorney John Worrall said on Wednesday, April 22 that Haire waived his right to a speedy preliminary hearing within 10 days. Haire is facing 20 years in jail for a shooting that occurred on Monday night, April 13 off of 1459 US
