Would saying the dreaded "s" word cause problems? Well sorry, snow is coming whether you like it or not, and the Sheridan City crews are preparing for it, with new items to help in the event of a snow storm. During Monday night's City Council Meeting, City Engineer Lane Thompson gave an update on the City's new abilities to plow this coming season. First, they have a new reliable snow blower, which will allow for quicker pick up. All plows will now have a new item in their cabs that can provide real time information...

Wyoming Governor Matt Mead applauded a decision by the United States Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit Court, which upheld the state's plan for controlling sulfur dioxide emissions. This is part of the Clean Air Act's Regional Haze program which has drawn criticism from elected officials in Wyoming. The Sierra Club and WildEarth Guardians, two environmental groups, said Wyoming's plan failed to guarantee progress toward natural visibility conditions in national parks. The Court of Appeals agreed with Wyoming's plan however, in that it fulfills those requirements.

The Worland City Council was in regular session on Tuesday night, October 21 in the City Hall Chambers. 1st graders Addisyn Winkler and Tessa McClain from Daisy Troop 1631 began the meeting leading the Council and everyone else in attendance with the Pledge of Allegiance. 57-year-old Paul Brookhouse, who is accused of murdering James Lee Drake, 62, on Thursday, June 12, 2014 south of Sheridan, will be heading to the Wyoming State Hospital to receive a 90-day treatment for illness before he can stand trial. It was initially found that Brookhouse was unfit to stand trial for the murder. This week, Judge Shelley Cundiff, in discussing the case with County Attorney Matt Redle found Brookhouse should be made fit to stand trial and that the charges not be dropped.
