Press Release - December was a troublesome month for ice anglers on Keyhole Reservoir. The ice on some parts of the lake was thick enough to allow ice anglers to get out on the ice; however other areas of Keyhole had open water. Moorcroft Game Warden J. D. Davis reported the events of three high school age ice anglers that wanted to reach a certain area on Keyhole which involved crossing the ice

On Sunday, January 25, an ice climber from Auburn, Washington was airlifted from the “Mean Green” ice flow near the Majo Ranch located at 4292 South Fork Road. Eiji Sugi, age 40 was climbing with a friend on the ice flow

Sheridan College sophomore basketball player Tiana Hanson has verbally committed to play for Montana State University-Billings next season. Hanson, a native of Shepherd, Montana, about 20 miles from Billings, will have two years of eligibility with the MSU-B Yellowjackets, a NCAA Division II school competing in the 11-team Great Northwest Athletic Conference. Sheridan County School District #1 has begun participating in "The Great Kindness Challenge" this week. The challenge is a week long event encouraging random acts of kindness, which started with assemblies at both Big Horn Elementary and Tongue River Elementary schools yesterday. Read more

A fire broke out in a dishwasher 1 to 2 miles south of the Worland city limits at the residence of 1291 Airport Road on Wednesday night, January 21. According to Worland Fire Chief Chris Kocher, he and his crew were paged to the scene sometime after 9pm.
