A grass fire took place a few miles south of Worland on a field behind Vega Brothers on Wednesday night, April 29. According to Worland Fire Captain Brandon Yule, he along with other members of the WFD were paged to the scene just before 5:30pm and stayed on site to extinguish the blaze until almost 8pm. For about half an hour this morning, Wyoming Governor Matt Mead spoke at a breakfast at the Historic Sheridan Inn in Sheridan. Washakie County School District #1 was in session on Monday night, April 27 in the Administration Building in Worland.
