This Friday, Feb. 27, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. Wyoming Governor Matt Mead will be signing a proclamation in his Cheyenne office that establishes a Youth Outdoor Bill of Rights (YOBR) for Wyoming’s children, youth, and families.

Washakie County School District #1 was in regular session on Monday night, February 23 in the Administration Building in Worland. Worland High School Boys Swimmers Dalton Jeffries and Burk DeBolt were recognized for each earning a WHSAA Good Sportsmanship Award along with WHS Girls Basketball player Bryanna Mickelson and WHS Boys Basketball player Hoyt Nicholas. Update 12:00 PM: Incident Command at the scene confirms the reports that the missing snowmobilers have been found. The two men's condition and other details were not immediately available. The two are not from the area, according to officials at the scene. It is unclear if they are experienced riders. We are awaiting further updates from the Sheridan County Sheriff's Office. Read more

Representative John Patton, a Republican who represents House District 29 in Sheridan County was hospitalized last night according to Representative Rosie Berger of Big Horn. Patton received a stent in his artery according to Berger, and was transfered to the Intensive Care Unit of a Cheyenne area hospital. Berger notes that Patton is doing well. She says his family is expecting him to be moved to a regular room today, out of ICU. Read more

The Worland City Council was in regular session on Tuesday night, February 17 in the City Hall Chambers. 3 bids were submitted for a Vacuum Trailer. Before the bids were read by City Attorney Kent Richins, Councilman Jerry Alexander suggested that they put off buying this equipment and that they use the money to work on the City Streets.
