SHERIDAN—The Sheridan Region of the Wyoming Game and Fish Department (Department) is holding three public information gathering meetings to gather input and understand sportsmen desires, expectations and willingness to maintain and fund the Department’s game bird farm program and hunting of Department raised pheasants.

Additional meetings will be held in each Game and Fish Region

Crime Stoppers needs your help in solving a theft that occurred on the 4300 block of Longhorn Ave. between 8:30 PM on 08-31-14 and 1:00 PM on 09-03-14. During this time frame unknown suspect(s) entered a utility trailer and stole various scuba items. The items taken include an Oceanic OC1 dive computer, a Sealife DC1400 camera, 2 side mount regulators, a scuba mask and fins.

Confirmed cases were reported in Idaho and Montana this past week, with Colorado seeing cases first in Denver. The first significant snow storm of well, the late summer early fall arrived this morning, and with it came school delays and power outages across northern Wyoming. Most of the delays seemed to be concentrated on the heavier hit areas, Story and Buffalo in particular. Power was out in Story for at least several hours, and continued to be sporadic across Buffalo, enough though to close the town's schools for the day. Parts of northern Sheridan County were dark as well. To blame were tree limbs that couldn't bear the weight of the heavy snow. So was it as bad as we had predicted? Earlier this morning, a tanker truck hauling 5,500 gallons of latex crashed and rolled at mile-marker 71 on US14A, which is approximately 25 miles east of Lovell. 59-year-old Dennis Spurbeck of New Philadelphia, Ohio, was reported to be negotiating a curved section on the highway, which has a 10% downgrade.

Yesterday afternoon, shortly after 5 pm, word came across that a missing couple in the Bighorns had been found. The couple, Alissa DeVille and Blake Fuhriman, were reported missing since Monday evening in the Cloud Peak Wilderness. Fuhriman was transported off of the mountain first and was recovering at Johnson County Memorial. DeVille, having suffered a sprained ankle, was still on the mountain, but with rescue crews.
