At 10:15 p.m. the Campbell County Fire Department responded to 201 E. Boxelder Rd. for a reported structure fire, the small fire was contained to two mattresses by the occupant of the apartment. Firefighters checked the apartment to make sure the fire had not spread and ventilated the building. The fire was started by a 3-year-old playing with a lighter from her mom's purse.

Press Release - The Wyoming State Geological Survey (WSGS) recently published a report on Wyoming’s iron (Fe) resources, an important mineral used in the production of steel. Previous iron mining efforts have contributed to Wyoming’s economy, with the potential for the state to once again become an iron-producing state, given the right conditions (iron prices, global demand, etc.).

A Customer Appreciation Barbecue organized by the Worland-Ten Sleep Chamber of Commerce and a lot of area businesses brought in droves of people to the back field outside of the Worland Community Center Complex on Tuesday night, August 25. Washakie County School District #1 was in regular session on Monday night, August 24 in the Administration Building in Worland. WHS students Cody Baumstarck, Matt Borovatz and Buck Butterfield were recognized for earning State Champion FFA Range Judging Team accolades.
