Head Coach Will Rider of the Gillette College women's basketball team has found his new assistant coach to replace Steve Fettkether- Matt Strickland.

If you think you recognize that name, your brain isn't playing games with you. Strickland played for the Pronghorns during the 2010-12 seasons before transferring to Rocky Mountain College in Billings, Mont. to finish his college career.

At 12:56 PM on July 19th, the Campbell County Fire Departent responded to the area west of the Weston Hills recreation area for the report of a grass/timber fire started by lighting. 

The fire was contained at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday at 40 acres.

The Campbell County League of Women Voters, Gillette Public Access Television and the Basin Radio Network are proud to kick off candidates forums tonight. County offices are featured this evening.  The forums will continue Thursday this week with city wide candidates and state wide candidates next Monday.  Things begin at 6:30 p.m. You can check it out live at Gillette City Hall.

Some residents in the Westover Subdivision wrapped up the weekend without electricity last night. It is estimated over one hundred residences were effected when a transformer needed to be replaced. The transformer blew between the two hundred block of Oregon Avenue and West Hills Loop. Power was out about two hours and forty five minutes for some residences. City crews got power

Bighorn National Forest Managers say that bear activity on the forest is continuing to rise. A spike of black bear sightings near campgrounds, private cabins, and lodges has both forest managers and the Game and Fish Department concerned for the safety of forest visitors.

Political signs in yards are a sign that political season is heating-up and, as it turns-out, so are their disappearance. The campaign to elect Bruce Olson for Park County Sheriff is reporting that roughly 20 political signs went missing after the Fourth of July.

Powell High School's head football coach died Friday. Last year, coach Jim stringer celebrated Powell High's third championship win a row. Stringer created nothing short of football dynasty with the last two teams being undefeated.
