On February 26, 2015, following a two day trial, Dale Peden (51) was found guilty of one count of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. 

The jury, consisting of four men and eight women, deliberated for approximately 1.5 hours.

Monday is the last day folks can say they can shop at a Safeway in Sheridan. The Sheridan store will become Ridley's Family Market, officially by Tuesday. It joins Ridley's markets moving to Laramie and two locations in Casper. Closing time is 6 pm. The store will reopen Tuesday morning with the new name. Read more

House Bill 114, also known as the "Wyoming Repeal Gun Free Zones Act" would allow for persons with concealed weapons permits to carry in multiple places where guns are currently not allowed. The bill, upon introduction, stated that concealed weapons would be allowed in meetings of government entities, legislature meetings, public schools, colleges, and athletic events. Weapons would also be allowed in public elementary or secondary schools. Weapons would still be prohibited in courtrooms. Read more

No the Border Wars isn't a civil war between western states, it's an academic competition that comes to Sheridan College yearly. This year's event is set for Tuesday of next week. What is Border Wars? High School students from several surrounding states, and Wyoming in the FFA program will converge on the campus to be tested in numerous categories, from agricultural sales, environmental and natural resources, and farm business management.
