Press Release - A single vehicle crash on May 31st resulted in the death of 26 year old Rebecca Carlson of Fountain, Colorado. Rebecca Carlson was a passenger in a 2006 Nissan Altima that was being driven by 31 year old Mark Ticehurst who is also from Fountain. The crash occurred at 10:05 p.m. near mile post 285 on Interstate 25 approximately 15 miles south of Buffalo, Wyoming.

The 14th Annual Buffalo Stampede will take place on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at the Durham Buffalo Ranch 3 miles north of Wright on Highway 59.

Registration for the 5K/10K walk or run begins at 7:30 a.m. Walkers will start the race at 8 a.m. followed by runners at 8:30 a.m.
Buffalo breakfast burritos will be served following the race around 9:30 a.m.

Western Sheridan County is under a flood advisory until 5 pm this afternoon. Creeks were rising overnight due to rainfall according to the National Weather Service. This includes Little Goose Creek, which has already experienced heavy flooding this week alone. At the time of this post (9 am), Little Goose had gone back up into moderate flood stage, after dropping from its high point of 6 1/2 feet on Sunday. Currently the creek is sitting at slightly above the line for moderate flooding, 4.7 feet. Read more
