Press Release – Due to wet conditions and forecasts predicting additional precipitation, some seasonally closed roads on the Black Hills National Forest will remain closed through the holiday weekend.
The areas listed below are seasonally closed for big game winter range, and will remain closed to motorized vehicles until roads dry out:

Campbell County Authorities have released the name of a woman killed in an officer involved shooting Wednesday night.  Campbell County Coroner Laura Sundstrom said 39-year-old Nikki Jo Burtsfield of Gillette was killed in that shooting.  Campbell County Attorney Ron Wirthwein said this morning he would not anticipate any more details becoming available until next week.

Washakie County Circuit Court Judge Thomas Harrington bounded over an involuntary manslaughter case to the 5th Judicial District Court involving 31-year-old Anthony Haire of Worland on Thursday, May 21. At 5:15 this morning, the Sheridan County Sheriffs Office was notified that two male juveniles had left Normative Services without authorization. Both of the men has been apprehended. One was described as a white male, 5' 8", who was last seen wearing pajama pants. Read more
