Echeta Road is closed west of Fox Run Road until further notice. The closure is do to a traffic accident. No injuries are being reported, but it will take an hour or two to remove a jackknifed semi-truck from the roadway.

The tuition rates will remain the same in 2015 for Gillette College students.

The Wyoming Community College Commission voted 6-1 on Thursday, Nov. 27, to keep the current tuition rates the same for the state’s seven community colleges.

Tuition rates for full-time Gillette College students is about $1,450 per semester.

The City of Gillette announces updated information on downtown holiday parking.

The City of Gillette will remove parking restrictions on Gillette Avenue from 1st Street to 4th Street (retail corridor) from November 25th through December 31st.  Look for signs - like the ones pictured below - to indicate where the two-hour parking restrictions have been

WRIGHT – On November 20, 2014 four Wisconsin residents were arrested south of Wright, Wyoming after the discovery of an antlered mule deer that was poached on November 18, 2014. The investigation is currently ongoing and evidence is still being analyzed.

Washakie County School District #1 was in regular session on Monday night, November 24 in the Administration Building in Worland. Tiffany Greear was recognized with a plaque for the 4 years she has put in as a Board member through the School District. The Coaches and Players from the Worland High School Girls Volleyball team were awarded a WHSAA Good Sportsmanship Award along with WHS Bus Driver

Emergency Management of Johnson County has discussed the possibility of using the large gym in Bomber Mountain Civic Center as a shelter in case of emergencies. Marilyn Connolly, Emergency Management Coordinator for Johnson County says the building would be perfect because it has everything they need.

On Wednesday of last week, November 19th, the Wyoming Game and Fish reported that a mule deer was illegally taken in eastern Johnson County on Schoonover Road. The road lies about one mile west of Powder River. Buffalo Game Warden Jim Seeman investigated the site and found entrails of the animal. He also noted that a vehicle was observed at the scene were the deer was killed.
