Nominate Wyoming Teachers Now for an Arch Coal Teacher Award

archteachWRIGHT, Wyo., Dec. 2, 2013 – At this time of the year, many people in Wyoming increase their level of sharing and giving.

“As we give thanks for so many things, we should remember the outstanding classroom teachers who helped us along the way,” said Greg Schaefer, Arch Coal vice president, external affairs, western region. “The Arch Coal Teacher Achievement Awards Program provides an excellent opportunity to say ‘thank you’ to a special teacher in a meaningful way.

“The approaching holiday season offers teachers an excellent time to complete applications, which require detailed explanations of their classroom and community activities and teaching philosophies,” he added. “Nominating excellent teachers today will give them an ample amount of time to complete their applications. The easiest, fastest means of nominating a teacher is online at www.archteacherawards.com.”

Nomination forms also are available in schools, libraries, Taco Johns and Loaf ‘N Jug stores throughout the state. The deadline for nominations is Jan. 6, 2014, and completed applications are due Jan. 27. Recipients receive an unrestricted cash award of $3,500 during a celebration this coming spring. The Arch Coal Teacher Achievement Awards Program is the longest running, privately sponsored teacher recognition program in the state.

The Wyoming Education Association, Taco Johns, Loaf ‘N Jug and the Wyoming Library Community are partners in the program.
