Camel Swimmers Win Gillette Invite

The Gillette High School Swim Team placed first among 18 teams, Saturday, at the Gillette Swim & Dive Invitational.

The Camels got a first place finish from their 200 yard freestyle relay team of Sunshine Roberts, Emmalee Carsrud, Sage Riss and Rylie Pilon.  The 400 yard Freestyle Relay team of Carsrud, Riss, Pilon and Taylor Schiefelbein also placed first.

Pilon took first, in the 100 Yard Breaststroke;  her teammate Annie Waldum finished second.

Pilon finished fifth in the 50 yard freestyle;   Emmalee Carsrud placed ninth.  Scheifelbein was fourth in the 100 yard backstroke.

The Camels’ Katie Carsrud finished second in the 500 yard freestyle.  She placed third in the 200 Yard Freestyle.  Her teammate, Shakira Dohse, placed eighth in the same event.

Scheifelbein, Waldum, Katie Carsrud, and Roberts combined to take fourth in the 200 yard individual medley relay.

Gillette’s Rachel Steiger placed tenth in the 500 yard freestyle.

Roberts took third in the 100 yard freestyle; Emmalee Carsrud finished eighth and Riss placed ninth.

Waldum took third in the 200 Yard Individual Medley, while Gillette’s Emily Jewell took sixth.  Jewell placed seventh in the 100 yard butterfly.

Gillette’s CeeJay Harris placed ninth in the one meter dive.

The Camels are at Kelly Walsh this Friday and Saturday.
