CCHS' Matheny Named Wyoming V-Ball Player of the Year

Gatorade, along with USA Today, announced Friday that Campbell County High School's Sidney Matheny has been named the 2013-2014 Gatorade Wyoming Volleyball Player of the Year.

The 5'11 senior middle blocker registered 311 kills, 44.5 blocks, 39 digs and 17 service aces, this past season, as she led the Camels to a 29-4 record, and a trip to the Class 4A State Championship Match.

Matheny has also maintained a 3.74 grade point average, and is a member of the National Honor Sopciety, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and the Campbell County High School D.A.R.E Chapter.  She is undecided as to where she will go to college.

Matheny is the third Wyoming Volleyball Player of the Year, from Campbell County High School, in the 29 year history of the award.
