Camel Boys Trounce Rock Springs; Girls Fall to Pueblo South

The Gillette Camel boys' basketball team trailed, 32-31, at halftime of Friday night's game against Rock Springs, but the Camels outscored the Tigers 54-27, in the second half, and beat Rock Springs, 86-58.

Cody Kelley And Garrett Schempp each scored 21 to lead Gillette, who got 16 points from Cale Miessler, eleven from Tyler Fortuna, and ten from Tanner Rogen.

The Camels are now 2-1, and host Scotts Bluff, Saturday afternoon, in day three of the ReMax Professionals Camel Invite.

The Gillette Camel girls fell to 1-2, Friday night, with a 61-51 loss to Pueblo South.  Lady Colt senior Shannon Patterson proved to much for the Camels to handle as she led all scorers with 20 points.  Gillette got a team-high 13 from Julia Seamans.

The Lady Camels will look to bounce back, Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m., against Rock Springs, you can hear it on 97.3 Camel FM and with pre-game coverage starting at 1:45.
