Camels Get Postseason Hoops Recognition

The State Championship Gillette Boys basketball team had three players named to the all-state team, they were seniors Seth Moerkerke and Tanner Rogen, along with with Player of the Year Cody Kelley.

That's Gillette Coach Bubba Hladky, talking about some of the strengths of Kelley, who was named the sixth Gatorade Wyoming Boys Player of the Year in Campbell County High School History.

The 6-foot-4, 180-pound senior point guard led the Camels to a 25-3 record and the Class 4A state championship this past season.

He averaged nearly 25 points, 5 rebounds, 3 1/2 assists and just under 2 steals per game this past season.

This is the second straight year Kelley has received the honor.  He scored a game high 22 points to lead the Camels in their 56-51 win over Kelly Walsh in the State Championship game.

He has a 3.98 GPA.

Some members of the Gillette Lady Camel basketball team got some post season recognition. Here's Lady Camel Coach Mitch Holst.
