Campbell County Commissioner Candidate Rusty Bell

Press Release -- I am a Gillette native, born here in 1973 and graduated from Campbell County High School in 1992.  I earned my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biology from Jamestown College in Jamestown, North Dakota in 1997.  My wife Toni and I spent 3 years in Portland, Oregon where I fought fires for the U.S. Forest Service on the Zig Zag Hot Shots and I also earned an Associate Degree in Veterinary Technology.  We moved back to Gillette In 2001 where I coached basketball, substitute taught and started my own business.  I have 2 children, Bowen and Blake, who were born in Gillette and attend school at Prairie Wind Elementary.  My wife Toni, is a CPA and owner of Above the Line, CPAs in Gillette.

In 2005, I started RB Services, LLC, a business which managed a welding shop where we manufactured stock panels for the methane industry until 2012.  In 2008, I attended Second Nature Taxidermy School in Missoula, Montana and in fall I opened Rusty’s Taxidermy.  Rusty’s Taxidermy has been a member of the Campbell County Chamber of Commerce since 2011.  My business was nominated for the Spirit of Gillette award in 2013.  I’m also owner of Turkey Ridge Ranch, LLC with property near Carlile, WY which has leased land for grazing and hay.

Since living in Campbell County I have coached and organized summer girls’ basketball.   I have been on the Energy Classic Basketball board since 2008.  I am currently the Treasurer for the Wyoming Association of Taxidermy Artists.  I was able to bring the Wyoming State Taxidermy show to the Campbell County Cam-Plex in April of 2013 and the Western Regional Taxidermy Championships will be coming here in April of 2016.  I am also a Vice Chair of the Campbell County Chamber of Commerce’s Business Advocacy Committee.  I’m also a founding member of the Wyoming Sportsman’s Group which will raise money and keep local dollars in Northeastern Wyoming.

Being a Gillette native has been a blessing to me.  I have grown up in Campbell County and understand the hardworking lifestyle that is seen by the citizens of Campbell County.  I can relate to many constituents in regards to our issues.  As county commissioner I would work to maintain the economic prosperity for our citizens.  I am committed to the continued support for the energy and agriculture industries which have been the backbone of our economic well-being.  Along with the citizens of Campbell County, I enjoy the quality of life, our spectacular facilities, and our small government.  As County Commissioner I will advocate for the future development of our great county, maintain our current quality of life, and minimize government regulation.
I have always taken great pride in being from Campbell County.  My life and business experiences have given me the knowledge to be a good County Commissioner.  I have the time, energy, and dedication to make good decisions and advance the future for the citizens of Campbell County.
