At 1:26 am on April 5th, the Gillette Police Department responded to the Fireside Lounge for a report of a stabbing. Sergeant Adam Edmondson said when police arrived on scene, they found a 46-year-old male being restrained by two patrons. Edmondson said the suspect resisted being brought under control and it took several officers to secure him.
“While, attempting to secure him, a 24-year-old female grabbed onto the back of an officers duty belt, and began pulling the officer off of him.”---Edmondson
That female was arrested for interference.
Witnesses said the 46-year-old man had stabbed a 50-year-old man in the neck with a smal knife. The victim was treated and released from Campbell County Memorial Hospital. The suspect was arrested as a felony aggravated assault suspect. Emondson said this morning that updated charges were pending.
