The Gillette Boys and Girls track teams both took first, Saturday in Sheridan, at the Dan Hansen Invitational.
First place finishers, for the Gillette Boys, included Logan Myers, in the 400 meter dash; Derek Myers, in the 800 meter run; Harrison Simmons, in the 1600 meter run; Walker Newell, in the 110 meter hurdles; Dustin Erisman in the Pole Vault; Beau Nutting, in the triple jump; the 4x400 meter relay team of Corey Myers, Logan Myers, Dalton Wagner, and Derek Myers; and the 4x100 meter relay team of Dalton Suchor, Newell, Erisman, and Caden Erickson.
Top finishers, for the Gillette Girls, were Tatum Barstad, in the 1600 meter run; McKenna Massman, in the high jump; Elizabeth Maller, in the shot put; the 4x100 meter relay team of Jessie Geer, Julia Seamans, Kassidy Wanke, and Bre Adsit; and the 4x400 meter relay team of Breann Clemetson, Kassidy Wanke, Grace Wiley and Haley Urbatsch.
Second place finishers, for the Camel boys, included Suchor, in the 100 meter dash; Erisman, in the 200 meter dash; and Newell, in the Pole Vault.
Sidney Wendt was a runner-up, for the Gillette Girls, in the 3200 meter run; as was Geer, in the 100 meter hurdles; Abby Moerkerke, in the 300 meter hurdles; and Chandra Sturtz, in the Pole Vault.
The Camels compete in the Wyoming Track & Field Classic, this Friday afternoon, in Casper.
