Shots Fired, Women Arrested

At 11:42 pm on May 21st, the Gillette Police Department responded to a report by a 44-year-old female.  The woman said she heard several gunshots near her home in the 500 block of South Brooks Avenue. Lieutenant Brent Wasson said officers learned the shots were fired in a parking lot near Pat's Liquor.

Wasson said a 33-year-old male and 28-year-old male reported they had been shot at. Based on descriptions provided by the men, officers identified a 35-year-old woman and a 37-year-old woman as suspects.

The women were contacted a short time later. Officers applied for and were granted search warrants for a residence on the 400 block of South Brooks Avenue and a 2005 Pontiac Grand Am. Wasson said officers located a firearm that matched the description of the one used in the alleged assault.

Both women were arrested for interference. Wasson said this morning that charges of felony aggravated assault are pending against both women.
