Dog On Road Causes Motorcycle Crash

May 22nd, 2014   4:47 pm   –   Emergency responders were dispatched to North Highway 59 near Rawhide Mine for a motorcycle accident. Campbell County Undersheriff Scott Matheny said a 49-year-old Gillette female and a 50-year-old Gillette male were riding a 2007 Honda motorcycle when a dog run out in front of them and caused a crash that injured both people.  

Officials with the Wyoming Highway Patrol said neither occupant of the motorcycle was wearing a helmet. At the time of the crash the injuries were not believed to be life threatening. However, the woman was transported to the hospital for further examination of an apparent head injury. No update on the woman's condition was available this morning. The dog died on scene.
