13-year-old Life-Flighted After Thurs Crash

At 6:42 p.m. on May 29th, emergency responders in Campbell County were dispatched to the Adon Road for a single vehicle rollover crash.  Undersheriff Scott Matheny said investigators believe a 13-year-old female was driving a 1995 Chevy pickup truck at a high rate of speed when the crash occurred.

It is believed the truck drifted off to the right side of the road and the female over-corrected to the left.  The vehicle rolled twice.

The girl was seat belted, but was life-flighted for apparent head injuries. A 17-year-old male passenger was kept hospitalized overnight with back and chest injuries. He was not wearing a seat belt.

Matheny was not able to provide a medical update on their conditions this morning.
