Wyoming Highway Patrol Release On Thursday Fatal Crash

WHP Press Release - 26-year- old Brandon Montgomery of Gillette, WY was killed on Thursday, May 29, when the vehicle he was driving left WYO 387 about 9 miles west of Wright, WY and rolled several times. Montgomery, who was not seat belted at the time of the crash was ejected during the rollovers.   Investigators believe fatigue may have been a contributing factor to the crash. The crash happened at 11:45 pm.
One vehicle rollovers where occupants are not seat belted continue to be the most common type of crash in Wyoming resulting in serious injury or death.  Modern vehicles are designed to withstand fairly violent damage while maintaining a passenger compartment which will allow occupants to survive provided they remain in the passenger compartment, which is what seat belts are designed to do.  Please buckle up Wyoming !!!!
