GILLETTE– The long- awaited opening of the Pronghorn Activity Center took place this past weekend with both the (14) Pronghorn men's and women's basketball teams getting wins in their new home.

The Pronghorn men had no trouble against Impact Academy of Las Vegas, a player development team for recent high school grads. The Pronghorns won Friday's debut games, 126-97 and Saturday's contest, 137-82.

The women played former Pronghorn players on Saturday night, with a 98-59 victory.

Jared Evans scored the first point in the James Hladky Arena of the Pronghorn Activity Center Friday night. It was his second free throw attempt early in the games. Abdul Mohammed sank the first three-pointer in the new home, as well.

Wednesday is the open house of the Pronghorn Activity Center, as both Pronghorns squads play rival Sheridan College. Before the games, the college will be giving tours of the new 1,844 seat facility from 3:00-4:30pm.

The women will play at 5:30pm and the men at 7:30pm. You can hear both games on 93.3 The Legend and online here.
