Members of the VFW and American Legion Honor guards march in with flags while the audience stands to respect the American Flag. After posting the colors the program starts with an introduction by the Principal, teachers and veterans. Students sing numerous patriotic songs, and show a student prepared patriotic slideshow. This year’s guest speaker is Sgt. Samuel Cates from the National Guard in Gillette. Sgt. Cates is a combat veteran with many overseas tours with the Wyoming Guard. Sgt.
