City of Gillette Announces City Administrator Candidates

Press Release – The City of Gillette has announced the candidates that will be interviewed for the vacant City Administrator position. The two candidates to be interviewed will be Thomas Johnson from Worthington, MN and Anthony Tolstedt from Douglas, WY.
Thomas Johnson is currently the County Administrator for Nobles County in Minnesota. He has been in that position since 2013. Prior to that he has worked as the Managing Director of Public Works in Eagle, CO and the Facilities Manager for a company in Chanhassen, MN.
Anthony Tolstedt is the City Administrator in Douglas, WY. A graduate of Sheridan High School, Mr. Tolstedt has a Masters in Public Administration from the University of Colorado at Denver. Prior to his position in Douglas, he was the City Administrator in Broken Bow, NE.
The City Administrator position has been vacant since June this year since the departure of Carter Napier. The position has been filled on an interim basis by City Attorney Patrick Davidson. Interviews for the open position will be Thursday, August 31st.
