Pat Torpey, Drummer And Founding Member Of Mr. Big, Dead At 64

Fans are mourning the death Pat Torpey, drummer and a founding member of the rock band Mr. Big, as he succumbed to complications from Parkinson’s disease. The official Twitter page of the band confirmed Torpey’s death and are asking for privacy for the family, the band and its management as of this time. “With breaking hearts we tell you that our brother, friend, drummer and founding member, Pat, passed away Wednesday, February 7 from complications of Parkinson’s disease. Family, band and management request privacy at this very difficult time. Services are pending.” Torpey was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2014, but continued to play for the band despite his condition. Mr. Big was formed in 1989, and spawned hits such as “To Be with You” and “Just Take My Heart.” The band disbanded in 2002 and reunited in 2009.
