Recap of Wright High School Sports from Boys/Girls Basketball as the 2023-23 regular season ends and a recap of Boys/Girls Wrestling from 2A East Regionals.

Thunder Basin and Campbell County Indoor Track & Field hit the road for the first time this season as they traveled to Pocatello, Idaho, to participate in the Simplot Games at Idaho State. 2,200 runners participated in the games from 19 states, along with runners from Canada and Australia.

The Thunder Basin Boys Swimming team finished the 2022-23 season at the 4A State Meet at the Campbell County Aquatics Center. The Bolts will be returning a handful of swimmers for next season and are also looking for new teammates to join them!

The Campbell County Boys Swimming team finished the 2022-23 season at the 4A State Meet at the Campbell County Aquatics Center. The Camels will enter next year with a young team, only losing one Senior, David Fenderson.

The 65th running of The Great American Race did not disappoint as Ricky Stenhouse Jr wins his first Daytona 500. It was the longest Daytona 500 in history, running for 212 laps and 530 miles.

Thunder Basin and Campbell County Basketball had a busy weekend as they returned to 4A Northeast play with matchups against Sheridan and Natrona County. The final game of the 2022-2023 regular season will be on Thursday night, as the Camels and Bolts will meet again at Campbell County High School this time.

Thunder Basin and Campbell County Wrestling finished the 2023 regular season with a dual against Sheridan last week. The 4A Regional Tournament will begin on Friday, February 16th.

The Gillette Grizzlies defeated Sheridan Sunday afternoon 3-1 to win the 2023 Wyoming Amateur Hockey Association Girls A State Championship.

Thunder basin will have three swimmers looking to go home with a state title this weekend at the State Meet, which will be held at the Campbell County Aquatics Center this weekend. Reid Pollick, Treyden Smith, Carson Shear qualified for individual swimming events.
