Moorcroft Police Seek Public’s Help With Information Related To Murder Of 16 Year-Old Shayna Ritthaler

In a press release posted to it’s Facebook page, Moorcroft Police are asking for the public’s help in gathering information regarding the tragic murder of 16 year old Moorcroft high school student, Shayna Ritthaler. Specifically, police believe there may be other, as yet unknown witnesses and/or suspects involved in Shayna’s murder.

For that reason, Moorcroft Police have posted a detailed timeline of the case from the time Ritthaler went missing from school through to the discovery of her body in the basement of a home in Sturgis, South Dakota.

The Rapid City Journal has identified 17 year old Michael Gavin Campbell as a suspect in Shayne’s murder. Campbell has been arrested and charged as an adult charged with second degree murder for allegedly shooting Ritthaler during an argument.
